Saleem was unanimously elected District Governor R I District 3212 for 2024-2025.He served as Conference Secretary in 2012-13 .The deftness with which he conducted the District Conference in 2014-15 and Rotary day celebrationin 2015-16 carrying the rotarians along with him convincingly proved that he was an ace manager.Saleem was RLI Chairman, Assistant Governorand District Conference Secretary during 2017-18.The very next year in2018-19 he served as the District awards committee Chairman and District Assembly Chairman in 2019-20.Saleem participated in three RI Conventionsheld at Seoul- Korea,Atlanta- USA and Hamburg-Germany.He was also a participant of Rotary India Centennial year summit at Kolkata and Literacy summit at New Delhi.

His unalloyed pleasure in life is to visit Government Hospitals to help patients back to normalcy offering all sorts of help, a habit inculcated from his childhood.So far hehas provided wheelchairs,braces and artificial limbs for more than 250 disabled persons.

Saleem is endowed with a generous heart and understanding mind, during the Corona pandemic he offered food and groceries for several families of jobless workers for two months costing Rs.40,00000/- (Rupees Forty lakhs).

His service to humanity is very characteristic, he helped a youthMr.Vigneshwho lost his right leg in accident. Saleem helpedhim with a robotic leg and a new life, went on to participate in Paralympics and was a successful participant in International cycle rally from Calcutta to Dacca covering a distance of 300 km.

He is one in whom the best qualities of head and heart happily blended.

As chairman ofRotacare ( Medical committee of Rotary club of Nagercoil town) he was instrumental in providing financial support to 32 surgeries of children and also provided 3 robotic legs to disabled persons.He constructed three buildings for schools and renovated the isolation ward of 2500 sq.feetin Government Medical College campus at Asaripallam,Kanyakumari District.

The committed Rotarian commanded the love and admiration of rotarians of world renown.Hewas conferred with Service above self award of Rotary International 2020-21 for his selfless service to humanity.He is also the recipient of Best Rotarian award of RI District 3212 for his contribution to Regional cancer center.

He is married to Rtn.SheejaFathima and blessed with a sonAathil Meeran,completing Engineering at MIT College Chennai and a daughterAayishaAathila,pursuing her MBBS at Saveetha Medical College, Chennai.
